Goal of the Season settled?

The Premier League is rolling around again this weekend, and I've gotten grief from one of our followers - no names Mr. Hollo.

Apparently there wasn't enough love shown for Pajtim Kasami's goal against Crystal Palace on Monday night. It was a cracker, although not better than Marco van Basten's strike in the 1988 European Championship final for me.

But I can't deny it's leading the Goal of the Season contenders so far - maybe great goals are flying in for Fulham now the voodoo associated with the Michael Jackson statue has been lifted!

Friday night excuses

Heerenveen and Ajax drew 3-3 on Friday night - a fantastic game with two Dutch legends masterminding their teams. Marco van Basten and Frank de Boer were great players and look like being very successful managers.

It gives me a excuse to post possibly the best goal of all-time to the site (it's all opinions, but it's in my top 5). It also gives me the chance to let you know about players like Alfred Finnbogason, Luciano Slagveer and Magnus Wolff Eikrem - not only do they seem like good players, but they have fantastic names!

But anyway, here's that volley I dream about...
